How is this different from parental controls?

Parental controls block access. Shield doesn't block — it redacts. Your kids can still use ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools, but Shield removes personal information before anything reaches the AI. It's a privacy filter, not a wall. Your kids get the educational benefits of AI without the privacy risks.

What data does Purfect Littles collect?

Nothing. Shield runs entirely on your machine. We don't see your prompts, your kids' conversations, or any redacted data. The weekly parent digest is generated locally. We physically cannot collect data — that's the whole point of the Shield architecture.

Does Shield slow down my computer?

No. Shield processes prompts in microseconds. The redaction happens so fast you won't notice any difference in how your AI tools respond. It uses less than 50MB of memory and has no measurable impact on system performance.

What if my kid uses AI on their phone or iPad?

Phase 1 is macOS desktop — the computer most families share at home. iPad and iPhone support is on the roadmap for a later phase. We're focusing on getting the desktop experience perfect first, then expanding to mobile.

Which AI tools does Shield protect?

Shield works with desktop AI clients: ChatGPT desktop app, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Zed, and Continue. It also protects browser-based AI tools like chatgpt.com, claude.ai, and Google Gemini when used through your computer.

Can I see what my kids are asking the AI?

Yes — with the Family Bundle, the parental dashboard shows conversation history organized by child and topic. You can see what subjects they're exploring without reading every message. We show topics and trends, so you know what's happening while respecting your kids' privacy too.
